Happy 202nd Birthday to Edgar Allen Poe.

I celebrated by reading his works. Glad he is being recognized, better late than never. He suffered greatly during his life, never was able to get out of poverty, even though he devoted his life to writing. Best known for 'The Raven' and 'The tell-tale heart', he is known as the father of mystery and horror short stories. His macabre writing perceives him as unhappy and full of sorrow but also made him one of the greatest writers. The tell-tale heart is hands down my favorite of his works followed by 'The Fall of the House of Usher'.
